Lauren Kleiman, elected to the Newport Beach City Council in 2022, prioritizes public safety and preserving the city's quality of life. She serves as Vice Chair of the Newport Beach Aviation Committee and represents the city on the Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG) and the District 15 representative for the Orange County Council of Governments (OCCOG). Her community service began on the Aviation Committee before her six-year tenure on the City’s Planning Commission.

As a Founding Board Member of the Newport Beach Foundation, she initiated a Parent Education Series and supports their scholarship and Distinguished Citizen Program engaging the next generation of leadership. Lauren holds a Juris Doctor degree and Certificate in Dispute Resolution from Pepperdine School of Law. As an attorney and businesswoman, she dedicates her time to community betterment. Lauren, along with her husband Marc, feels fortunate to raise their son in Corona del Mar.
